Agata Cieślak is a Polish artist that lives and works in Warsaw. By shifting the existing art market’s positions, she forms a specific kind of practice that connects artistic, curatorial and institutional activities. She works with a variety of media and but puts great importance into writing. Cieślak was taking part in many international groups shows, f. e. in ICA London, Supplement Gallery London, Miroslav Kraljevic Gallery Zagreb, Stroboskop Art Space Warsaw; she prepared performances for CCA Zamek Ujazdowski Warsaw, Nahmad Projects London, and contributed to the interdisciplinary project Consortium of Post-Artistic Practices organised by MoMA Warsaw. She was working as a gallery assistant in SW8 Gallery London and co-curated the Internet-based project Post Interned Landscapes (with amaCollective, London). Recently, she runs a visual art programme at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Warsaw.
