Annette Ruenzler is a German visual artist, living in Berlin. She predominantly works in sculpture and installation. A recurring topic in her work is how the world of things mirrors social behaviour. Ruenzler‘s work treats social and psychological subjects in a casual and nevertheless direct manner. The work evokes a tension between objectness and immateriality; and reveals a look in the peripheral, the ephemeral and the latent. Her practice, while political, focuses on the capacity of aesthetics to question restrictive conceptions within society. Her imagery shows a fusion from day-to-day reality with other perspectives, so that while looking the third reality, a synthesis from the realities familiar to us originates. Annette Ruenzler‘s works have been shown in museums and international galleries.
