Jude Crilly is a Canadian/British artist who is currently on residency at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. She works with sculpture, text, sound, coding, drawing, costume and choreography. Her installations and performances explore the mysticism rooted in the technologies which shape contemporary experience. She proposes alternate systems and sites which have their own precise but fractal logics: this is not about disorder, but about another conception of order that would be self-determining. Recent projects include Whitstable Biennale (2018); Galerie Nadine Feront, Brussels, Stroom Den Haag, Hague and Proyectos Medellín, Mexico City (all 2017).
